Inaugural Ceremony of Pakistan Financial Literacy Week (PFLW) 2025 at SBP-Lahore building

The Financial Inclusion Week 2025 was inaugurated by the Rector University of Management and Technology (UMT) at the State Bank of Pakistan, Lahore, on April 14, 2025.

The Rector appreciated SBP on organizing the financial inclusion week aiming to address the key challenges in promoting the financial literacy in general public.

He emphasized that financial inclusion is not merely a policy goal but a moral and national obligation rooted in our faith and history. Drawing inspiration from the inclusive financial practices of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he stressed the urgent need to bridge gaps in financial access, particularly for women, youth, differently abled and less privileged communities.

The Rector highlighted the UMT’s pioneering initiatives, for the cause of education, innovation, and collaboration in creating a financially literate and empowered society. The University’s significant contribution to making education more accessible to underprivileged and high-achieving students through scholarships was highlighted In his concluding remarks, the Rector expressed his desire to strengthen national progress and stated that every citizen should plays his role in making the country’s bright future.
