UMT Career Fair 2023 Calls Together 124 Companies

Office of Corporate Linkages and Placements(OCLP) at UMT organized its annual “Career Fair 2023” on the theme of Growth in Employability and Future Landscape - Chasing the Dream Career. 124 national and multinational organizations set up their stalls and carried out recruitment of degree holders on-spot.
The Career Fair 2023 featured a range of industries, including healthcare, finance, technology, hospitality and retail including Servis, Mcdonalds, Hico, Rozee.pk, Bank of Punjab, Keune, Sagacious, University of Hertfordshire, Nextbridge, Adamjee Insurance, Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital, Stylo and many more. Attendees had the opportunity to meet with recruiters, submit their resumes and potentially schedule interviews on the spot. Also, there were panel discussions and guest speeches on growth in employability and future landscape, emerging technologies and adaptability in the workplace.
A large number of students including fresh graduates and alumni visited the arena and exchanged their resumes with the recruiters and were evaluated for knowledge, skills and passion. Dr. Usman Bhatti, COO NutriCo Morinaga was the chief guest of the event.
Rector UMT Dr. Asif Raza, Director General UMT Abid Sherwani, Director OCLP Quratul Ain Babur and COO NutriCo Morinaga Dr. Usman Bhatti inaugurated the career fair and paid a visit to all stalls.
Rector UMT Dr. Asif Raza shared that UMT is a research-intensive university and we want our graduates to work and engage with the industry in a meaningful way. He expressed that UMT is ranked 527th globally and this achievement is because of the teamwork of the excellent leadership, management and faculty. Dr. Asif highlighted that at UMT we are continuously overhauling our programs to produce graduates that are market ready. Wherever you go work with honesty and commitment and always make work your priority, he advised the students.
Dr. Usman Bhatti, COO NutriCo Morinaga in his address advised the students and alumni to never be afraid to take the non-linear path because it is something that makes you stand out from the crowd. A degree is a basic piece requirement and hard work beats everything, he added. Dr. Bhatti advised the youth to stay hopeful, be hardworking and face adversities by being steadfast.
