Seminar on Current Economic Trends, SGS

School of Governance, UMT hosted a seminar on the topic of “Current Economic Trends and Development Prospects in Pakistan” to provide students with an insight of current economic trends. The event featured a detailed talk on the economy of Pakistan by Dr Nadeem ul Haque, Vice Chancellor, PIDE.
The seminar explored how important it is to have expert policymakers benefit from university research in order to come up with an effective economic policy that facilitates growth. Among the discussants were Dr Aisha Azhar, and Prof Rahat ul Ain, Azhar Manzoor from SGS, Dr Maqbool H Sial, Chairperson, Department of Quantitative Methods, Dr Rukhsana Kalim, Dr Farhat Rasul, Imran Akbar from HSM. Other respected faculty members and students of SGS also participated in the event.
