Ibrahim Hasan Murad Concludes HSM Shaheed Memorial Lecture

Ibrahim Hasan Murad, President UMT concluded Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad Shaheed memorial lecture with a vote of thanks. He extended immense gratitude towards Hussain Dawood, Chairman Dawood Hercules Corporation, Engro Corporation and Karachi School of Business and Leadership, for gracing the event and taking out time from his busy schedule. Addressing the lecture, he said that the reason behind hosting Mr Dawood is the fact that he was the only boss that Dr Hasan worked with. Dr Hasan is regarded as the teacher's teacher, and for him, Mr Dawood was not only a mentor but an inspirational figure. He said he wanted Mr Dawood to share his extensive experience with the UMT community, as he is a true role model when it comes to learning and leadership.
President UMT commended Mr Hussain Dawood for being a poised personality and giving so much to people to learn from. He said that his wisdom and thought-provoking ideas are not only inspiring but have left indelible marks on the business community at large. He further added that the relationship between Dr Hasan and Mr Dawood has historical roots and he acknowledges that his father was not only impressed by Mr Dawood but also established ILM with the same vision and mission, i.e. to serve the people of Pakistan by providing access to high-quality education.
While remembering his father, he said Dr Hasan was a visionary who revolutionized the academic and business world with his wisdom and intellect. He further added that he laid the foundation of UMT with the vision to serve humanity and make quality global education accessible for all. Dr Hasan wanted to establish an institute that could produce future leaders and frontrunners. His endeavors have made UMT one of the leading higher education institutes of Pakistan, while ILM offers one of the largest scholarship programs worth over 5 billion to talented and brilliant minds across the country .
President UMT said that this event is not a glorification of its founder, but has been organized to remember his scholastic achievements and the legacy that he has left behind. His father always believed in the service of the people and UMT stands tall for carrying his legacy forth.
