Dr Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT, Delivers Welcome Note at the 18th UMT Convocation

Dr Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT, welcomed the Chief Guests of honor His Excellency Abdul Rehman Matar, Secretary General of the International Islamic Relief Organization, Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar, Honorable Governor of the Punjab and Patron of UMT and Muhammad Mian Soomro, Federal Minister for Privatization and all the Members of the Board of Trustees, and Board of Governors, respected Faculty and all the esteemed guests to the 18th UMT Convocation.

 

Dr Muhammad Aslam said it was indeed a great honour for him to welcome such a galaxy of honorable, esteemed and distinguished guests to the 18th convocation of UMT. He said he was indebted to the chief guests and other distinguished guests for gracing the Convocation of 2020. He mentioned that it’s a wonderful day for the graduates, their parents and their teachers and he congratulated all of them wholeheartedly.

While addressing the graduates he told them that they are going to start their professional lives and now would be the time to show the world their knowledge, skills and innovative abilities. He further added that graduates would not be only able to stand on their feet but will contribute to the country’s economy and development as well. He said that he is confident with the excellent quality of education which the graduates have and they would make outstanding contributions in different areas of expertise.

Dr Aslam added that is it not possible to summarize all the accomplishments of individuals and milestones achieved by the university over the last year. He mentioned that UMT is a cutting-edge and high-level educational institute because of its highly qualified faculty, committed staff and excellent teaching and learning environment. He further added, UMT imparts high quality education to its graduates and is one of the finest private educational institute of Pakistan.

The rector concluded the address by mentioning that it certainly is a very special day for the graduates, their parents and the faculty members. He urged the students to make a vow on this special day that they would always stand by the righteous and oppose the wrong doers and would assert all their energies for the establishment of a just society. He further added that the graduates should utilize their utmost abilities for the development of the country and welfare of mankind. Dr Aslam hoped that all of the graduating students would add to the reputation of UMT built by Alumni’s. He said that he had confidence that the new graduates with their dedication, hardwork and excellent performance, they would be a source of pride for UMT. Lastly, he thanked and was grateful for the presence of Chief guests and expressed sincere gratitude for the kind participation by all the audience for making the day a memorable one.
