Dr Muhammad Aslam Presents Rector Merit Awards to 476 Talented Students

It is a proud moment for UMT that 476 students were awarded at the Rector’s Merit Award Ceremony which was held at the campus on November 20, 2019. Dr Muhammad Aslam presented Rector’s Merit Awards to 93 participants from SSS&H, 72 to SSC, 66 to HSM, 47 to SHS, 41 to SST, 22 to SEN, 20 to STD, 19 to SCA, 18 to SLP, 15 to SAP, 14 to SPA, 13 to ILA, 10 to IAS, 8 to ICP, 7 to SMCS, 4 to IIB, 2 to SFAS, and 1 to SGS.
The School of Social Sciences & Humanities (SSS&H) led by Dr Mumtaz Akhter had the highest number of merit award winners. The participants qualifying for Rector’s Merit Award have received tuition fee discount of six credit hours. Dr Aslam congratulated the UMT students on their meritorious academic performance and stated that only dedicated students who are focused on their studies will shape the future of the nation. He advised them to keep excelling in their studies and set even higher standards of achievement.
The ceremony was organized by the Office of Controller Examinations. Deans, Directors and senior faculty members were present on the occasion to encourage the students to give their best to their studies.
