Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad Inaugurates BIC-JUW, Karachi

It is a proud moment for UMT that Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad was invited to inaugurate the Business and Incubation Center, Jinnah University for Women (BIC-JUW), Karachi. The invitation was extended by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), JUW. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures from the world of acadmeia and social sector.
In his keynote lecture on ‘Building Universities Responsive to Society and Industry,’ Dr Hasan highlighted the importance of building linkages between academia and industry for the commercialization of research, and mentoring of students in their startups. He also emphasized that uiversities must work on producing socially relevant research in order to add value to the quality of human life.
Dr Hasan’s active participation in international academic forums reflects his immense efforts to promote quality standards in the fields of science, technology and business for building an innovative Pakistan.
