Dr Fatima Sajjad, Assistant Professor SSH visits Japan

Dr Fatima Sajjad, Assistant Professor, School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) was invited by Sasakawa Peace Foundation and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies to deliver a lecture in Tokyo. She was among the very few bright scholars nominated from the South Asian region for this purpose. The purpose of the visit was to represent Pakistan’s stance on the common issues of South Asia and expand UMT’s international linkages.

 

During her visit, she gave a briefing on violent extremism in South Asia which was attended by top Japanese diplomats. She also delivered a lecture at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Dr Sajjad was also a part of the meeting held by SPF which was attended by government officials, military generals, professors and experts in multiple fields. She attended a book launch and an international symposium during her visit.

Dr Fatima Sajjad extended her gratitude to the UMT family for its endless support and wished to continue such ventures in the future. She added it was an extremely enlightening experience.
