Workshop on Outcome Based Education for School of Architecture and Planning (SAP) and Institute of Aviation Studies (IAS)

A workshop on Outcome Based Education (OBE) was organized by Accreditations and Academic Quality Improvement Cell (AAQIC) in collaboration with the School of Engineering (SEN) and Centre for Teaching and Learning. The workshop was organized for the faculty of School of Architecture and Planning (SAP) and Institute of Aviation Studies (IAS). The agenda of the workshop was to train faculty regarding the basic principles and techniques of OBE.
Mr. Asif Saeed Haider- Director AAQIC, Dr Muhammad Usman Rashid- Chairperson Department of Civil Engineering, Dr Muhammad Farhat Kaleem- Chairperson Department of Electrical Engineering, and Ms. Sadia Asif- Director Centre for Teaching and Learning, were the resource persons for the session. The talking points of the session were the distinctive teaching and learning methods in OBE model that also included: Vision/Mission of the School / Institute, Mission of the Program, Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), Mapping Techniques, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and Assessment under OBE.
More future workshops on OBE are scheduled for all the Schools at UMT till the model is adopted for successful implementation.
