UMT Joins Hands with Talloires Network by Tufts University

University of Management and Technology is always responsive to societal needs and is serving as an agent of change towards solving global challenges. To perpetuate the cause, UMT is now a part of Talloires Network by Tufts University. The Talloires Network of Engaged Universities is a growing global coalition of 410 university presidents, vice-chancellors and rectors in 79 countries who have publicly committed to strengthening the civic roles and social responsibilities of their institutions. It is the largest international network focused particularly on university civic engagement.
The agreement follows personal and institutional commitment to promote inclusive society and readiness of UMT to address the societal challenges in global context to ensure the sustainable development of humanity together. In order to achieve better outcomes, UMT will work in a closer liaison with Talloires Network to assure that our comprehensive approach of social development is instilled in all the activities. All the best practices of civic engagement inculcated in teaching, learning, research, pedagogy, and other activities offered by students, faculty, staff, and school/ department including Sitara Hilal Foundation (SHF) will be presented in the International Newsletter of Talloires Network.
The Rector UMT, Dr. Muhammad Aslam (S.I.) has shown immense pleasure in joining this international movement to promote civic and social responsibility in higher education. Mr. Aamir Abbas Chaudhry, GM, Accreditations and Quality Assurance has been appointed as a representative of UMT.
