Times Higher Education Website Announcement

Once again, the University of Management and Technology (UMT) has been ranked in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2021 with an overall rank of (601-800). The THE Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UMT has obtained impressive results across three broad areas: research, outreach, and stewardship. UMT participated in the 4 SDGs, the performance metrics includes carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons. These indicators capture universities' impact on society based on institutions' success in delivering the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. More than 1115 institutions from across the world participated in the third edition. Details of the SDGs along with our scores are as follows:

  • SDG 1- No Poverty (Rank: 201-300 out of 591 institutions) (Score: 47.1)
  • SDG 3- Good Health and Wellbeing (Rank: 401-600 out of 871 institutions) (Score: 46.9) 
  • SDG 4- Quality Education (Rank: 101-200 out of 966 institutions) (Score: 66.5)
  • SDG 17- Partnership for the Goals (Rank: 401-600 out of 1154 institutions) (Score: 52.0) 

It is indeed a great accomplishment for UMT to be featured among top universities in the global higher education sector that are making a difference in the world.
