Strategic Partnership through Memorandum of Understanding Between University of Management and Technology, Lahore and Government College University, Lahore

In an impactful stride towards fostering academic and research collaboration, the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, and Government College University (GCU), Lahore, have formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on December 6, 2023. The ceremonial signing was marked by the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adnan, Vice Chancellor of GCU, Lahore, and Dr. Asif Raza, Rector of UMT, Lahore.
This pioneering MoU lays the foundation for a series of collaborative endeavors aimed at enhancing the educational and research opportunities for both institutions. Key areas of collaboration outlined in the agreement include faculty and student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and the co-organization of national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars, among other mutual interests.
Building upon this initial agreement, a significant advancement was made with the signing of the Inter-University Memorandum of Student Exchange Agreement on February 28, 2024, at the UMT, Lahore. This agreement, inked by Dr. Asif Raza and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adnan, introduces a structured framework for the exchange of graduate students between the two universities. This initiative not only facilitates student mobility but also opens avenues for students to broaden their academic experiences and pursue excellence in education within diverse environments.
Together, these agreements signify a commitment towards creating a collaborative academic ecosystem that nurtures innovation, research, and educational excellence. The Registrar of UMT and Director, Academic Planning & External Links, GCU Lahore will act as the focal Person for the Student Exchange program and correspondence between the two Universities.
