Is Artificial Intelligence the New Guru

The future of every industry and every human being is impacted by Artificial Intelligence. It has acted as the main driver of emerging technologies. The progression of AI has its own challenges, some experts predict that networked artificial intelligence will amplify human effectiveness but also threaten human capabilities, autonomy, and agency. AAQIC in collaboration with Department of Information Systems-SST hosted an immensely insightful Webinar for UMT Students and Faculty on the burning issue- "Is Artificial Intelligence the New Guru?” The webinar was conducted on Wednesday, 23rd December at 10 a.m. 

The 45-minute session was conducted by guest speaker Mr. Matthew James Bailey from Denver, Colorado. The incumbent is an internationally recognized pioneer of the Internet of Things (IoT), Innovation, Smart Cities and Artificial Intelligence, and has also been classified by the US government as “A Person of Extraordinary Ability”. The session addressed numerous subjects related to AI such as; Destroyer of Humanity or Liberator? International Landscape of Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence is providing "Wisdom in Society" etc. The session was joined by Mr. Asif Saeed Haider – Director AAQIC, Mr. Aamir Abbas Chaudhry – GM AAQIC, Dr. Ammar Raja- SST, Deans/Directors, faculty members, and students. All students and faculty actively participated in the enlightening session. AAQIC appreciates the involvement of Mr. Bailey in the session.
