International Digital Conference (IDC) on Curriculum 4.0

Development in information technology has resulted in revolutionizing all aspects of life. University of Management and Technology (UMT) has been putting exceptional effort in equipping its students with latest skills and knowledge to challenges in the upcoming era of industry. In order to enhance our teaching practices, curriculum and technological competence, Accreditations and Academic Quality Improvement Cell (AAQIC) in collaboration with Dr Hasan Murad School of Management (HSM-UMT) and Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSOM), India organized a two days International Digital Conference on Curriculum 4.0 on March 25-26, 2021. The conference was commenced by a formal opening speech from Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam (Sitara-i-Imtiaz), Rector UMT, Pakistan and Prof. Dr. Atish Chattopadhyay, Director JAGSOM / Vice-Chancellor, Vijaybhoomi University, India. The conference helped in formulating a purposeful approach to learning that lines up with the fourth industrial revolution. It further helped in defining a framework which can be applied as a roadmap for bridging the gap between academic practices, incorporation of Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the curriculum development and research, and in adaption of required skills. The conference was joined by the leading academics and experts from all over the world. It served as a great opportunity in promoting peace through education, collaborative research and knowledge exchange. The closing remarks were given by Dr. Farrukh Iqbal, Chairman NBEAC. He appreciated the insights shared by the distinguished speakers and thanked them for presenting ideas to redesign the curriculum.
