Imminent Interventions for Improving Pakistan's Legal System

On 6th May, 2021, a session was organized by Accreditations and Academic Quality Improvement Cell (AAQIC) to discuss the imminent interventions for reformation and modernization of laws in the areas of legal education and system of administration of justice. The aim of the session was to identify and discuss the core issues, causes of the inefficiency of our justice system, and the remedies to improve the judicial system in order to make justice affordable, accessible and equitable to all. The session was exclusively organized for the students and faculty of Dr Hasan Murad School of Management (HSM), School of Law and Policy (SLP), and School of Governance and Society (SGS).
Former Attorney General for Pakistan and Chairman Pakistan Bar Council, Mr. Irfan Qadir anchored the session and conducted an exclusive Q&A session with the participants. Mr. Qadir discussed in detail the evolution of the legal system in Pakistan and the judicial structure. The participants found the session intriguing and proposed comprehensive recommendations for reforming the judicial system in Pakistan.
