Tuesday, December 01 2020

AAQIC on 1st December, 2020 conducted a training on how to write a Self-Assessment Report of an academic program for further improving the quality of education at University of Management and Technology. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has implemented an evaluation method for assessing the quality of academic programs offered by universities. Mr. Asif Saeed Haider, Director AAQIC, began the session and outlined the process of conducting self-assessment (SA) of academic programs. The Director explained the eight criterion and standards established by HEC in its SAR manual and addressed the queries of Program Teams. Majority of the Program Team members had surfaced the same challenge of aligning Program Vision/Mission, Program Objectives (POs) and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) with University’s Vision and Mission. He further explained how the result of the Self-Assessment process will help UMT in meeting its commitment towards excellence in higher education. All the program teams consisting of faculty members of School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSS&H) found the training session insightful and committed to prepare SAR of their programs as per the given guidelines.
