OIC Assistant Secretary General Meets Rector UMT

Today, H.E. Amb Aftab Khokhar Assistant Secretary General, Science and Technology, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) met with the Rector UMT, Dr. Asif Raza, to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at facilitating international students in securing admissions at UMT under OIC member state scholarships.

The Rector highlighted UMT’s distinguished programs, emphasizing the institution’s commitment for supporting international students at every step of their academic journey. He assured that UMT will continue to provide every possible assistance to students from OIC countries, enabling them to access world-class education.

The meeting also explored broader initiatives, such as potential student and faculty exchange programs, capacity building measures for personnel of OIC member states through COMSTECH, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), Data Science and other emerging technologies. This exchange of communication will further facilitate international students' access to UMT, encouraging innovation, knowledge-sharing, and contributing to the advancement of higher education.
