Keeping up with our religious duty, right from the beginning, UMT has provisioned the construction of mosque on prominent place in the University which holds a significant importance in the campus master plan and with the number of students increasing UMT needs to complete the construction of mosque without any delay.
UMT intends to complete the project of building the mosque on campus to facilitate the participants /students by providing them pleasant and comfortable environment to serve the spiritual needs and where they can also offer religious practices apart from their professional education.

Based on basic elements & principal of traditional mosque on the prototype developed by our Holy Prophet (PBUH), the proposed mosque has been conceived as landmark & HUB of the UMT Campus & surrounding area. A simple, dynamic & traditional-modern architectural blending has been proposed with 70 feet multifaceted circular folded dome rising 30 feet above main prayer hall roof top guarded with 2 no. minarets of around 100 feet height each opening up in a praying formation with reflection of “Qalam” (pen) harmonizes with the function of the University.
Recently, prayer services have been initiated at the UMT Grand Mosque. A large gathering of worshipers can be seen at prayer times. Special sermonsare arranged every Friday with renowned religious scholars and well know personalities providing Jummah Khutba. Personalities such as Dr. Ahmad Murad, Inzimam Ul Haq, Dr. Hafiz Sajid Iqbal have delivered these sermons, to name just a few.
With the grace of Almighty Allah swt and After a lot of hard work from members of the UMT community, we have been able to get the structure of mosque in place which has the capacity of accommodating up to 2,250 worshippers and to provide additional facilities for the Mosque. With that being said there is still a long way to go until the mosque is completed.
