Browsing & Downloading
Internet browsing and downloading including all educational attachments are provided by Office of Technology Enablement (OTE).
E-Mail
Here you can access your E-Mail.
Faculty/staff/participants can access their email using a web browser from anywhere with an internet connection. More than 8000 accounts have been hosted on GOOGLE APPS in this regard for better email storage quota. OTE also hosts in house email servers to accommodate different UMT sister concerns such as Mizab group, AMDIP etc.
A suite of supported applications gives users the option of accessing and managing email on the desktop or via web access. You can access Webmail and also can configure e-mail in Outlook.
FTP
OTE offers FTP account to whole UMT community. Students/faculty/staff can access their network drive through this service. Anyone, who is interested in FTP access, can contact OTE.
Library Digital Resources
UMT supports its academic programs and research initiatives through an automated library, on-site collections and a variety of online services. UMT library is an indispensable source of information and is one of the excellent working libraries of Pakistan. UMT community can access library resource from anywhere by giving their authentication credentials.
Off Campus Resources
Authorized UMT users can access digital resources off campus through VPN solution developed by Office of Technology Enablement (OTE) in collaboration with Library. Off-campus digital resource access URL: https://dr.umt.edu.pk/library

On Campus Resources
UMT library has subscriptions to various electronic and online digital resources to provide access to wide range of online collections related to various academic disciplines. Many publications are being made available through this facility to provide access to e-databases of more than 14000 peer reviewed leading international journals. Users must use these resources under copyright laws.
As most of the full text material available in these databases are in PDF (Portable Document Format), users must have any PDF reader e.g. Adobe Acrobat reader, installed in their computers to view PDF files.

Moodle
UMT-LMS (Moodle) is an Open Source Course Management System (CMS), also known as a Learning Management System (LMS) or a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It has become very popular among educators around the world as a tool for creating online course web sites for their students. Learners can use Moodle as a way to deliver content to students and assess learning using assignments or quizzes.
