Department of Institutional Linkages (Foreign) will be facilitating UMT employees, faculty and students to enhance and enrich their professional and educational experiences by creating links with International Educational Institutions.
Department of Institutional Linkages (Foreign) will harmonizes UMT educational facilities with its international counterparts across the globe making UMT a choice destination for higher education. UMT has a strong belief that Internationalization will enrich academic and social culture of UMT.
Office of INSTITUTIONAL LINKAGES (Foreign) will aim to facilitate UMT Community in the following areas:
- Increase the number of international learning opportunities for UMT students
- Increase opportunities for UMT faculty members to teach and conduct research internationally
- Develop partnerships with international universities for joint research, scholarship, and faculty exchange opportunities
- Review curricula to identify courses and programs where it is appropriate to incorporate international perspectives and increase awareness of global issues
- Develop an international presence on the UMT campus and create activities that will profile and celebrate internationalism on UMT campus
- Expand UMT’s academic activities internationally
- Expand support and services available to international students
- Expand training for faculty and staff in order to develop cultural awareness and sensitivity to the issues faced by students from international backgrounds".
