Lieutenant General Javed Hassan (Retd.), Hslal-e-Imtiaz (HI Military) and Sitara-e-Imtiaz (SI) is serving as Chief Adviser to the President, UMT on Institutionalization and Governance and positioned as the Professor of Practice.

Lieutenant General Javed Hassan (Retd.) served in the following positions:

  1. Commandant, National Defense University (NDU), Islamabad;
  2. Founding Rector, National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore;
  3. Faculty member, Command and Staff College, Quetta in the faculty of Research and Doctrinal Studies (FORADS);
  4. Instructor, School of Infantry and Tactics, Pakistan Army;
  5. Governor in Board of Governors of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and the National College of Arts (NCA);
  6. Director Military Operations at the General Head Quarters (GHQ);
  7. Commander, Force Command of the Northern Areas (FCNA);
  8. Inspector General, Northern Light Infantry (NLI);
  9. Corps Commander, XXX (30th) Corps, Pakistan Army;
  10. Defense and Military Attaché, Embassy of Pakistan, Washington DC, USA.

Lt. Gen. Javed Hassan (Retd.) crafted capstone courses in National Security Workshops at the National Defense University (NDU). He is also an author of a book titled ‘India: A study in Profile’, that was published by the Army Education Press and hence was decorated with Sitara-e-Imtiaz (SI) by the Government of Pakistan. He is well versed in Turkish language having graduated with flying colors from Kara Harp Okulu Turkish War Academy, Istanbul, Turkey.
