UMT awards honorary Doctorate of Laws to Sajjad Karim

In a special Convocation arranged at the Governor House on Saturday, December 14, 2013, Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad and Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar awarded honorary Doctorate of Laws degree to Sajjad Karim, Member, European Parliament, in recognition of his services for Pakistan. It is worth mentioning that Dr Sajjad Karim has been working tirelessly towards better relations between Pakistan and the European Union.
This convocation was held on the advice of Governor of Punjab. Rector UMT, upon the advisory of Governor and Patron UMT, delegated the organization of this event to Abid Shirwani, Co-Founder and Member Board of Governors. Thereafter, since the last degree of the recipient was in Law, henceforth UMT Law was entrusted with the reaponsibility to admit Dr Karim in their scroll. Syed Imad Ud Din Asad, Founding Director SLP, relayed the citation to the august gathering in the capacity of custodian of UMT Law.
The Special Convocation was graced by the presence Aneesa Rahat, Registrar, Asif Saeed Haider, Director, Sialkot Campus, senior faculty members of UMT, and high ranking officials of the Punjab Government.
