UMT Student Naad-e-Ali Sulehria selected as 2016 Fellow of Hansen Summer Institute, USA

Naad-e-Ali Sulehria, student of BS International Relations from Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSS&H) at UMT, Lahore, has been selected as 2016 Fellow of Hansen Summer Institute on Leadership and International Cooperation (USA).  Hansen Fellowship is a fully funded summer program organized by Hansen Foundation in collaboration with University of San Diego, California. Through a highly competent procedure it selects twenty students from twenty different countries each year and engages them in peace-building activities.

It is a great privilege for UMT since Naad-e-Ali is the only Pakistani for year 2016 to achieve this esteem Fellowship. He will be representing Pakistan among a distinguished group of fellows selected from Armenia, Australia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, Estonia, India, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Palestine, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Ukraine and United States.

A primary goal of the program focuses on creating an international community of young scholars who will use their summer experience as a foundation for creating lasting friendships and acquiring common practical understanding of a more peaceful future. Fellows receive hands-on training in team-building, public speaking, negotiation, mediation and working together to solve international problems.
