The special advertisement section of Fortune Magazine September 2016 edition, which hit the stands in the Middle East and Europe in the first week of September, has showcased Pakistan’s economic growth and bright prospects. UMT has been picked by the magazine as being “at the forefront of Pakistan’s higher-education sector, with thousands of students in more than 150 disciplines.”
Education being one of the seven core pillars of socioeconomic strategy, Fortune editors cited the views of Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad regarding curriculum reform and quality of education at the university level. “We have also recently launched the U.S. Pakistan Knowledge Corridor, which will give our students greater access to U.S. universities and bring U.S. universities’ expertise to Pakistan to develop our own universities’ education,” he added. Dr Hasan also highlighted the role of UMT in serving the middle class. “People come to UMT to gain knowledge and a degree and then leave to live in some of the country’s 100 or so cities,” he said.
