Research Paper Authored by Iram Rasheed Wins Best Paper Award at International Conference in LUMS

Iram Rasheed, Lecturer at the Department of Gender Studies, SAS, UMT, won the ‘Best Paper Award’, comprising a shield and cash award of one hundred thousand rupees at the 'International conference on ‘Gender, Work, and Society: Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects for Women’s Economic Empowerment’ organized by LUMS Social Enterprise Development Centre (SEDC) at the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), LUMS held on April 22-23, 2017.
The title of her paper was ‘Women’s right of inheritance: Manufactured consent of women in South Punjab.’
The conference was attended by several international academicians, development sector practitioners, and industrialists. More than sixty research papers were presented under twelve themes.
