Project by UMT Students Selected at NSPIRE, Netsol Technologies

Final year project idea by UMT students, 1click.com.pk, has been selected at NSPIRE which is an incubation center at Netsol Technologies for innovative startup ideas. The idea selected is among three ideas which have been selected from all over Pakistan. Netsol Technologies has signed 5-month contract with them in the presence of Salim Ghauri, CEO, Netsol Technologies. According to the contract, Netsol is 7.50% shareholder in the startup and will offer students all facilities including office space, systems and mentoring to launch their startup officially.

1click.com.pk is an innovative idea to create a virtual web portal for people to help them organize their events -be it parties, dinners or weddings. Professionals such as event organizers and photographers, and businesses such as restaurants and banquet halls can get themselves registered on the website to create and maintain their own profile. With the help of the profile, they can communicate their details and pictures so that people may conduct market research without actually having to visit each and every banquet hall or event organizer. 

The project was completed under guidance of Tahreem Yasir, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, School of Science and Technology. The group comprised of Ayaz Ishaq, Ayaz Qaiser, Abdul Rahman, Bilal Siddiqui, and Aijaz Khan from Computer Science Department. This is not their first achievement however, they have previously been selected at Plan9 (A Punjab Government Initiative for Innovative Startups) and have also participated and won GoogleHack Innovative Idea Competition.
