Microsoft Funds Center for Enterprise Technology Advancement Research at UMT

Dr Ammar A Raja, Director, Center for Enterprise Technology Advancement (CETA), has procured Microsoft Azure Research Award worth 20,000 USD. Researchers around the world are using Microsoft Azure to enable them to accelerate their research, and with Dr Raja’s achievement UMT, is rubbing shoulders with the likes of University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, University College London, University of California Berkeley, University of Texas Austin, University of Washington and many other prestigious institutions all over the world.
Microsoft will be sharing a video on Dr Raja’s work in Deep Learning on their page in the coming days. Apart from teaching, researching and industry liaison in Data Science, Dr Raja has been phenomenal in transforming Center for Enterprise Technology Advancement, which has successfully started their first Nanodegree Batch in Predictive Analysis with people from Huawei, Microsoft, First Micro finance Bank of Pakistan (An Agha Khan Foundation Initiative) and other commendable backgrounds getting trained.
