Make UMT Proud of You, Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan Advises UMT Graduates

Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan, Punjab Education Minister, congratulated all UMT graduates and their parents. He said that he is honored to become a part of such a prestigious institution’s convocation. He added that he has witnessed the rise of UMT as a great institution of learning under the visionary leadership of Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad. He said that education plays an important role in the progress of a country and universities are responsible for producing and giving best resources for progression.
The Honorable Minister said that the time of labor is over for the graduates of UMT and now it’s time to rejoice in success. He added that all those who are graduating today owed a debt of gratitude to UMT and to the nation. He said that the new generation that can bring social changes in our society. UMT is one of the outstanding universities that aim to produce more skilled, competent and well-learnt individuals who can build the path of success for the country.
Elaborating the role of CPEC in economic development, Rana Mashood said that many countries like Russia, UK, US, Japan, Turkey and many others now want to invest in Pakistan because of the tremendous scope for returns. As a result, 2 million job opportunities would be created for skilled youth in the coming years.
He further stated that the Government of Punjab is working hard for the development of education sector. In 2013, there were 53,000 public schools in Punjab with 8 million students but now there are more than 12 million students who are having free education till Secondary level. The Government of Punjab has invested huge amount in strengthening the education sector. A total of 1,50,000 scholarships have been awarded through PEEF.He concluded by saying that the Government of Punjab duly recognizes the role of UMT in promoting higher education in Pakistan. He advised the graduates to make their alma mater proud of them and utilize their talent for the progress of Pakistan.
