International Conference on Contemporary Issues in Muslim Societies Attracts Scholars from Across the World

The inaugural session of the International Conference on Contemporary Issues in Muslim Societies and Cultures organized UMT was held today at Hospitality Inn. The conference is being attended by leading scholars, thinkers and intellectuals from many countries of the world.

 

 

 

 

  

Addressing the inaugural session, Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector UMT, said that it is a moment of great pride that UMT has taken an initiative to provide a platform where scholars from around the world have gathered to discuss the emerging challenges of the Muslim world. Others who spoke on the occasion included Dr Abdul Hameed, Dean SSS&H, and Dr Uzma Rashid, Associate Dean and Chair, Department of Sociology.

  

  

  

  

  

The 2-day event which is being organized by the Department of Sociology and the Department of Media and Communication at School of Social Sciences and Humanities at UMT will host parallel sessions.
